GS Engineering, Inc. is an agile small business focused on design and analysis services, product development, instrumented field testing, and technology integration including lightweight structural systems and metal matrix composites. With technical innovations and implementation realized through Phase I and II, and subsequent Phase III SBIR contracts for “Advanced Lightweight Vehicle Components and Materials”, GS Engineering successfully integrated lightweight materials and methodologies while capturing cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes, concurrently increasing modularity, and ultimately providing significant return on investment. The benefits of reduced vehicle weight through Phase II, included tangible increases in vehicle speed and performance, improved reliability and fuel mileage, reduced maintenance costs, and increased cargo carrying capability in critical field operations.

GS Engineering has contributed to regional and local job creation and sustainment, as well as expanded contributions of a diversified workforce and university partnerships, in advancing government and economic priorities for the benefit of our active services and citizens. Positive impact on professional and technical job creation has been possible by the increase in GS Engineering’s total revenue starting with the Phase I SBIR, further reinforced by subsequent Phase II and III awards, and the commercialization of technology to multiple OEM and commercial customers.
