Changing Rescue Ops One Cut at a Time

WINNER: Tibbetts Award

On January 29, 2009, Design Interactive began working on a concept for a Phase I SBIR from the U.S. Army for a Casualty Extraction Trainer. The opportunity to make a difference in training for military and civilian personnel entering combat theaters drove the Design Interactive team for the following year to design an instructional tool on extrication of injured personnel from an armored vehicle. The end result is a revolutionary new simulator, V-Xtract, that will be delivered to the U.S. Army post-Phase III in October 2013 by a team of outstanding engineer minds.
